These are a matched pair of 10 inch tall mills using top of the line grinding mechanisms--the saltmill uses a ceramic crushing mechanism so that it is immune to the salt.
I designed these to be an elegant blend of visual and tactile appeal. The curve of the main body of the mills is known as a catenary curve--it is a curve that is both simple and elegant. The turned sphere on top fits comfortably in the palm of your hand.
Both mills are then finished with food safe products -- shellac and walnut oil with carnuba wax dissolved in it. I then buff the outer surface to bring out the beauty of the wood grain.
Typically, I sell the saltmill and peppermill for $180 per pair (in maple and walnut). Please call me or email me if you would like to order a similar pair of mills. I would typically recommend a light wood (for salt) and dark wood (for pepper), just to provide a visual cue (in addition to the letters S and P engraved on the top metal knurled nut).
